How to Manage Your State Affairs Subscription (Self-Service Portal)
Use the self-service portal to handle most subscription and billing tasks without contacting support.
1. Who Can Use Self-Service
Self-service is available to account administrators when:
- You are marked as a team owner/admin, not just a member
- Your account is not a comped or trial account
If you’re a regular team member, you’ll see prompts telling you which admin to contact to make changes.
2. How to Access the Self-Service Portal
- Log in to State Affairs.
- If you have an unpaid invoice, you may see:
- A small badge near the top navigation,
- A banner at the top of the page, or
- A full-screen notice prompting you to take action.
- Click the “Take action” button on the notice or:
- Go to Settings → Account overview and Team members.
3. Paying Invoices
On Settings → Account overview, you’ll see an Invoices card at the top:
- If you have unpaid invoices:
- Review the total amount due and due date(s).
- Click “View and pay invoices”.
- In the billing portal:
- Select one or more invoices to pay.
- Pay using a credit card.
- Download invoice PDFs as needed.
- Close the portal and refresh the page to confirm your balance is now clear.
- To see past invoices or update billing details:
- Click “View past invoices” or the payment portal link.
- In the billing portal you can:
- View and download all past invoices
- View or update the billing contact
- Add or update payment methods
